Sep. 16, 2008

Kao presented an exhibit of construction chemicals at the JCI Annual Convention 2008 Fukuoka “Concrete Techno Plaza” hosted by the Japan Concrete Institute (JCI) from July 9 to 11 at the Fukuoka Convention Center.

This year's convention featured a research plaza, a ready-mixed concrete seminar and special lectures based on the 2008 theme “From Kyushu: for Long-lasting Aesthetic Concrete.” Approximately 60 businesses and organizations set up their booths at the “Concrete Techno Plaza 2008,” hosted in parallel with the JCI Annual Convention.

Kao provided a full presentation of the globally marketed Kao construction chemicals and other environment-friendly products. Kao features a diverse lineup in the construction chemicals field, integrating our most important expertise, surfactant technology, such as the Mighty 21 Series of superplasticizer, which reduces the amount of energy used for heat curing in the manufacturing of precast concrete, and the Visco Top Series of high-performance specialty thickeners, which are effective in preventing water pollution.

The many visitors to the Kao booth listened intently to our representative's presentation, and posed various questions about the features and usage of Kao chemicals for construction and civil engineering. The “Concrete Techno Plaza 2008” venue thrived with almost 13,700 visitors, easily topping last year's attendance record.

Kao continually develops valuable products for the industrial market and contributes to the conservation of the earth's environment, taking an aggressive approach toward environmental issues.
