Ink for food packaging

LUNAJET® is inkjet ink suitable for two-layer, paper and film package printing, which reduces plastic consumption by replacing the outer surface of the film package with paper.

Case study of LUNAJET® + special printer

LUNAJET® was customized to comply with the strict European environmental laws and regulations (Swiss ordinance, Nestle guidance).
The ink was installed in a printer used by a major European printing company as a printing ink for food packaging consisting of two layers of paper and film.

After printing the outer paper with LUNAJET®, CPP or PE are bonded to the paper using an adhesive to provide an effective barrier.

Plastic consumption can be reduced by adopting packaging using paper that also provides an effective barrier instead of using 100% plastic packaging.
