As part of its effort to enhance global corporate presence, the Kao Group participated in the Eco-Products International Fair (EPIF) 2016, which was held during June 8th - 11th, 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The EPIF is hosted by the Asian Productivity Organization, an intergovernmental body dedicated to the socioeconomic development of the Asia-Pacific region. This year, a total of 129 corporate exhibitors, including 32 Japanese companies, came together to mark the 10th EPIF in Bangkok. The event saw more than 43,000 visitors, many of whom stopped by at Kao’s booth.
Kao focused on communicating its commitment to contribute to the sustainability of the world through products and brands of excellent value, and also took the opportunity to introduce its corporate citizenship activities in Thailand. This includes the “FURUSATO Environment Conservation Project in Northern Thailand”, a project initiated by Kao in 2012, and the 5-year tree-planting project undertaken in cooperation with the Organization for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement-International (OISCA).
Recognized for its outstanding approach toward environmental conservation, the Kao Group received the EPIF 2016 Awards. The award plaque was presented to Kao Thailand President, Hiroaki Taki by Deputy Prime MinisterACM Prajin Juntong.
The Kao Group will continue to enhance its environmental conservation and communication activities to contribute to global sustainability.
