PT. Kao Indonesia Chemicals was established in 1977 as a joint - venture between Kao Corporation Japan and the local parties. In 1996 the shareholders changed as well as the company's name. Since then the name of PT. Kao Indonesia Chemicals has become familiar.
Kao's vast resources such as advanced technology have made PT. Kao Indonesia Chemicals one of the top industrial chemicals producer in the region. PT. Kao Indonesia Chemicals as a pioneer surfactant a various surfactants which are used in a wide variety of fields including laundry detergents, toiletries, cosmetics, textile, pulp and paper, plastics, construction, agrochemicals, etc.
Since its establishment, the company has been making products which enhance the quality of life for the people. With its long history, PT. Kao Indonesia Chemicals is well known as "One Step Ahead" company among others.
