On September 4–5, 2025, Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., represented by its Construction Chemicals Business Unit, participated in an international symposium themed “Towards Holistic Roads and Beyond” at the Department of Rural Roads (Bang Bua) in Bang Khen District, Bangkok, organized by the Department of Rural Roads and the Road Association of Thailand, aimed to exchange knowledge and experience related to the development of the nation’s transportation infrastructure. Experts, scholars, and practitioners from countries such as the USA, Italy, Denmark, Australia, and Japan also participated in panel discussions to exchange experiences on various issues.

On this special occasion, the company's Construction Chemicals Business Unit delivered presentations and co‑exhibited alongside the Department of Rural Roads and the Department of Highways to showcase innovations in asphalt such as

  • NEWTLAC 5510: An asphalt modifier made from recycled PET waste using Kao’s proprietary technology. It lowers the melting point of PET and enhances adhesion between asphalt and aggregates, helping extend pavement life and reduce plastic waste.
  • DANOX 400: A plant-based asphalt rejuvenator that restores the properties of aged asphalt in RAP. It requires up to 50% less dosage than conventional products, improves durability, reduces the use of virgin bitumen, and lowers CO₂ emissions.
  • ASFIER S-106 LN: A cationic emulsifier for slow-setting asphalt emulsions, suitable for plant-mixed or mix-in-place applications with dense-graded aggregates and for slurry seal work. It improves emulsion stability and provides excellent adhesion to aggregates.
  • ASFIER N-100L: An emulsifier for rapid-setting chip seal and tack coat applications, offering excellent adhesion with a wide variety of aggregates. It is certified by Thailand’s Department of Highways, ensuring compliance with standards.

This also included presenting road paving solutions under the “Green Pavement” concept to support the sustainable development of asphalt road infrastructure in Thailand.
