What is APS?

Advanced Printing Solutions (APS) is a division newly established in June 2017 as a solution provider for inkjet ink.
Kao Corporation's inkjet business began with the sale of pigment dispersions for inkjet, then launched water-based pigment inks for inkjet, and is currently operating globally as APS together with Kao Collins Inc. in the United States and Kao Chimigraf in Europe.
 
Kao Corporation has been conducting research and development focusing on water-based pigment inks for inkjet printing for many years. In March 2016, we announced a water-based pigment technology that could be used to print on polyethylene terephthalate (PET), biaxially oriented polypropylene (OPP), etc. without primer application that was also VOC-free (volatile organic compound) and friendly to people and the global environment.
Kao's water-based pigment ink for inkjet printing is not only available in Japan, but also around the world through Kao Collins and Kao Chimigraf and is helping to provide solutions for recent environmental issues.
