What is a solvent-based dispersant?
A dispersant is a type of surfactant that serves to uniformly disperse dispersoids (particles) such as pigments and ceramics in a solution.
Among them, solvent-based dispersants use ketones and alcohols as solvents. The dispersant is adsorbed to the surface of the dispersoids (particles), generating a steric repulsion working to improve separation of the particles.
